Just as we reported two days ago, Zopo Mobile has finally landed Malaysian market and the company has also brought four devices during the grand launching ceremony.
Although these devices have actually been around for quite some time. The ZP998 has actually been shipped to customers since January 2014 all over the world through Zopo's global online store while ZP700 was already around since end of 2013.
Let's begin with the most affordable one - Zopo ZP700. The ZP700 has a 4.7" qHD (540 x 960 pixels) IPS display and is powered by 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MTK6582 processor with 1 GB of RAM.
The ZP700 is actually quite nice to hold in our hand. The back of the device has some texture pattern, which is similar to the Oppo Find 7.
The device comes with 8 MP camera with LED flash and 5 MP front camera, which is quite surprising as with such low price tag. The device is running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat with custom UI. The user interface is actually quite stocky despite it has different icons, the icons are actually similar to the icons from MIUI.
The Zopo ZP700 is a dual-SIM smartphone and comes with black, white, yellow, pink and blue color options for just RM 498, which is RM 1 cheaper than the Huawei Honor 3C.
The next one is the Zopo ZP780, which is nearly same as the ZP700. The ZP780 has larger display at 5", but with same resolution.
The ZP780 is only at 8.25 mm thin, and its piano lacquer finish allows you to hold it comfortably, complemented with light metallic frame.
Zopo ZP780 hands-on photos
Our experience on the ZP780 is actually same as ZP700, same user interface, camera and all. The screen is very bright but we didn't get in deep with it.
For RM 598, the ZP780 will be available in three colours - black, white and blue.
The higher-end Zopo ZP1000 is an attractive phone. The device is powered by 1.7 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor with 1 GB of RAM.
Although it has the same screen size as the ZP780, but its resolution has been up to 720p, which means more details can be seen on this device.
Looking at the back of the device, it actually gives us a thought of Apple iPhone 5/5s. The device also comes with unique single slot design, which let you to put two SIMs in one slot at once. At the back it has a 14 MP wide camera and the 5 MP front-facing camera comes with Face Beauty 3.0 technology.
The Zopo ZP1000 will be priced at RM 998 and available in three colors.
And here comes the Zopo ZP998, which packs the best specifications among the four devices. The ZP998 is actually almost same as the ZP1000 but it has additional 2 GB of RAM and larger 5.5" display with Full HD resolution.
The 5.5" Full HD display of the ZP998 comes with Low Temperature Poly-silicon technology and you can navigate the screen even your hands are wet.
The back of the device is built by something like leather, just like Samsung Galaxy Note 3. The device has camera quick key just right on top the power button at the right side. At the back, it has the same 14 MP camera with f/2.0 aperture that performs good depth-of-field in the photos and the 5 MP front camera also comes with Face Beauty 3.0 technology like the ZP1000.
