New ZOPO Flagship Deca-Core Development Diary


Shenzhen, China – December 19th – In several previous occasions, we at ZOPO acknowledged that a new flagship smartphone with a deca-core CPU is in development. It will be revealed at a grand industry event, in early 2016.

But now we are here to talk about what will definitely not be introduced by ZOPO in the future...

When a smartphone company is developing a new device, a lot can happen in the process. Decisions concerning every aspect of the machine are made, then reshuffled, then reassigned, then fixed, and so on. It is not a linear process – it is a fast paced and always unpredictable one where every step of the way new ideas and proposals come up in order to adapt to the constantly evolving market trends and external developments. Having a plan is great, but adapting to change is absolutely imperative when developing something new that ultimately must please the public and consumers.

While technical hardware specifications are very important in a smartphone, we can't ignore the outer shell, the design. Before reaching the final design, the development team experiments a lot. Here you can get a glimpse of just a handful of some of the designs that were once considered and made into a dummy phone, but ultimately abandoned:

While we are unable to reveal the full extent of these abandoned experiments, this is still enough to show the general direction being taken by ZOPO. Feedback from our users and followers is very important for everyone at ZOPO. We are always listening. We also want to share more and be in contact with the community and allow it to peek into the development process. Hopefully we can get some helpful comments from this little piece.
