ZOPO Launches Speed 7 in India, Targets Aggressive Sales at 1 Million a Year
ZOPO, a Chinese Smartphone company, launched its brand new Speed 7 flagship device in India, priced at Rs 12,999 and sought to sell at least one million devices in one year, surpassing the Xiaomi sales record in the country.
The launching of the company in India was attended by CEO Kevin Xu and Brand Manager Charles Bird.
The phone faces tough competition from Xiaomi Mi4i, Motorola Moto G (3rd Gen), Asus Zenfone smartphones and many others but the less price and so much features might do good business for the company. It will be interesting to see how the phone gets response.
The company has also promised to launch another smartphone range between Rs 13000 to Rs 15000 soon.
The two-time MotoGP World Champion – Jorge Lorenzo, is the ambassador for Speed 7. The slogan of the device is “Blazing Fast”.
ZOPO Speed 7 features a 5-inch 1920 x 1080 full HD display, powered by a 64-bit MediaTek octa-core MT6753 processor, paired with 3GB of RAM and 16 B of storage which is expandable to 64GB external storage.
It is equipped with a 13.2MP rear camera with a LED flash and a 5.0MP front camera for selfie-taking and video calls. It runs the Android 5.1 Lollipop with its special Z-UI, packed with 2,500 battery.
To sell this device in the market, Zopo has collaborated with the e-commerce store Snapdeal.
If the sales of Speed 7 go in the right way, the ZOPO is also planning to launch smartwatch in the near future.
